Eklingji Temple
Eklingji temple has a multi-faced image of lord
shiva made up of black stone. It is fifty feet
high and 24kms north away from Udaipur. It has
108 temples enclosed by high walls with bathing
terraces leading down to the water.
Gadi Sagar Lake- Jaisalmer
It is surrounded by small temples and shrines
and is a scenic rain water lake. South of the
city walls,this tank,once held the town water
supply and its importance of providing precious
water to the inhabitants of the city.
Hawa Mahal-Jaipur
The five storey building of busy bazaar street
is a stunning example of Rajput architecture.
Its pink honey combed 953 stand stone windows
known as Jharokhas. This palace of winds is built
by poet king Sawai Pratap Singh. It is the most
easily recalled landmarks of Jaipur.
Jantar –Mantar-
Jaipur
It is the most famous observatory of its time.
In the year 1724A.D.,it was constructed by Sawai
Jai Singh II. After Jantar -Mantar the city of
Jaipur was built.
Jodhpur Fort
It is on a 150m high hill and is the most magnificient
fort in Rajasthan. In 1459,it is founded by Rao
Jodha rulers of Jodhpur. From the second gate,battle
scars of canon ball hit by attacking armies of
Jaipur can still be seen.
Lake palace-Udaipur
It is built by maharana Jagat Singh in 1743 and
was meant as a rayal summer palace. Today ,it
is converted into a five star hotel. This palace
is located on the Jag Niwas island and covers
an area of 1.5hectare of the island in the middle
of pichola lake.
